Cusco, Peru - The former Inca capital
⭐ Inca alleyways and gateway to Machu Picchu
🇵🇪 Cusco, Peru
The former capital of the Inca empire, perched above 3,400m altitude.
Cusco blends Spanish colonial architecture with Inca foundations visible on nearly every street corner, in an atmosphere that’s both touristy and authentic. It’s also the essential gateway to reach Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley.
The altitude is noticeable the first few days, but the city is well worth the acclimatization time.
